Silver raw vermiculite is unique in China and It turns silvery-while after calcination. Silver vermiculite has good ion exchange and adsorption properties, so it is widely used in agriculture, horticulture, environmental protection, petrochemical and other fields. The PH value of silver raw vermiculite concentrate is 7. It does not contain asbestos, and the thermal conductivity is 0.045-0.06 cal/m·℃, the flake bulk density is about 0.9, the tensile strength is 1000-1500 kg/cm2, and the hardness is 1- 1.8.
Silver raw vermiculite has excellent properties such as heat insulation, frost resistance, antibacterial, fire prevention, water absorption, sound absorption, etc. When calcinated at 800-1000°C for 0.5-1.0 minutes, the volume can rapidly increase by 8-15 times. After expansion, the specific gravity is 50-200g/cm3, and the color becomes silvery white, forming loose silver expanded vermiculite.
